bug barrier services

Tired of seeing ants crawling across the kitchen floor? Sick of silverfish sharing the shower with you? Fed up with spiders crawling across your walls? There is a way to reduce the number of these pesky pests found in your house. Stop them from ever getting in! And that is what the Atwood LawnCare Bug Barrier Program is designed to do.

We treat the outside of your home with an invisible and odorless barrier that stops bugs from ever getting close to you. Outside walls with many cracks and crevices are perfect entryways for insects…until the Bug Barrier is applied. Crafty bugs like earwigs love to hide in mulch beds waiting for a chance to find a way into your home…until the Bug Barrier is applied. Cooler weather in the fall signals spiders to start looking for a way to stay warm all winter in your home…unless the Bug Barrier is applied.

Our special four application program constantly keeps insect numbers in check so they cannot become a problem inside your home. (Remember, 100% bug elimination is not possible or environmentally sound.)

Without ever setting foot in your home, your Atwood LawnCare Customer Service Specialist will create a powerful Bug Barrier around your home. Because we are treating outside your house, you don't need to be home!

The Bug Barrier Application Schedule

  1. Spring (April-May)
The Bug Barrier is applied to the foundation of your home and the immediate area at the time when most insects are just getting active. The invisible and odorless barrier prevents crawling insects from entering your home through cracks or crevices in the foundation of your home.
  2. Early Summer (June-July)
The Bug Barrier is applied to the foundation of your home and the immediate area at the time when more insects are present. Bugs won’t find a way inside no matter what the weather is doing.
  3. Late Summer (August-Sept.)
The Bug Barrier is applied to the foundation of your home and in any flower and shrub beds around the house. The hot and humid time of summer is when you see the most activity with outdoor insects, but you’ll be protected with the powerful, but invisible barrier that stands between the bugs and your home.
  4. Fall (September-October)
The Bug Barrier is applied to the foundation of your home and in any flower and shrub beds around the house. Spiders and many other insects can sense that the cold winter is approaching, so they begin to look for warm, safe places to escape the perils of winter. With the Bug Barrier firmly in place around your home, the insects will have to find someplace else to spend their winter.
    What Gets Treated?

The Bug Barrier treatment covers a wide variety of insect entry points and habitats around your home, including a strip all the way around your house, up the side of the foundation of your home, mulched beds, window wells and vent openings, door thresholds and (where accessible) around and under decks.
