Atwood LawnCare

Atwood LawnCare was started in 1970 as Atwood Lawn Spray Service by a creative fellow named Tom. (Sorry, there is no "Mr. Atwood.") Tom built the company to around 2,000 customers in 1982 by insisting on state of the art vehicles and equipment and by giving superior customer service. Tim Doppel began working for Atwood in 1980 while attending Michigan State University earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Turfgrass Management. Upon graduation, Doppel decided to stay with Atwood and became Manager the next year. In 1984, Tom moved out of state and sold the business to Tim. In the subsequent years, Doppel re-built the Atwood Pride and renamed the service to Atwood LawnCare, Inc. to better represent his desire to truly care for the customers, and not just "spray" their lawns. In 1992, the Tree and Shrub Care division was added and in 1997, Christmas Decor became a part of the service. Today, Atwood LawnCare and Tim Doppel are looked upon as leaders in the lawn care industry across the nation.
